3Bee is an Italian nature-tech company founded in 2016. It focuses on biodiversity monitoring, regeneration, and education through the development and installation of advanced technology, including IoT sensors, remote sensing, and AI (Artificial Intelligence).

Leveraging proprietary data acquisition and processing technologies, 3Bee has developed the Element-E monitoring and evaluation framework. This methodology gathers data from the field and satellites to estimate a range of direct and indirect indices representative of biodiversity in a given area. Element-E not only provides detailed biodiversity reports and credits, but also facilitates strategic planning for both urban and rural regeneration, significantly bolstering sustainable land management practices. Through this framework, we implement, assess and disseminate the impact of conservation and regeneration projects.

In its activities, 3Bee collaborates with 4,000 farmers and beekeepers, 500 companies, and 14 universities and research centers. It also engages citizens, primary schools, and public organizations to promote the importance of biodiversity conservation through targeted awareness campaigns, CSR education programs, and interactive didactic programs on pollinators and biodiversity.

Since its founding, the company has received several awards and funding from Italian and European sources. For example, in 2019, it received SME Instrument Phase 2 funding from Horizon 2020, supporting innovative SMEs in developing and commercializing new ideas, for "Hive-Tech," an advanced honeybee monitoring device. In 2020, it was recognized at the IoT World Awards for developing the best IoT solution for agriculture. In 2022, it received funding from the European Space Agency (ESA) for the demonstration project "Sentinel Hive Tech," which uses satellite technology to support biodiversity. Finally, in 2023, it obtained funding from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator program for the "Biodiversity Credit" project, focused on methodologies for generating, measuring, and certifying biodiversity credits
