ENERGEIAKI KOINOTITA PERIORISMENIS EVTHINIS / Collective Energy (COEN) is an energy community of citizens based in Athens, founded at the beginning of 2020 based on Law 4513/2018 and has a non-profit nature.

We aim with our work to contribute to the fair energy transition of the place where we live. We want to achieve this by securing clean energy for our members, researching new methods, technologies, operating and organizational models, participating in networks of citizens and organizations that share our views and concerns, and providing our knowledge and experience on energy issues, both theoretically and practically, with whoever needs it.

The environmental and climate crisis threatens living conditions on the planet and intensifies global inequalities. At the central political level, the impossibility of a joint agreement on the radical and structural treatment of the problem is obvious. The activation and cooperation of citizens and local communities seems to be the only way forward.
