The University was established in 1870 and it is currently divided into nine faculties. It educates over 47,000 students enrolled in 150 courses. This includes more than 12,477 international students from over 138 countries. Within the project, RWTH University brings in its experiences in terms of fuel design and fuel evaluation gained within the Cluster of Excellence “The Fuel Science Center”. In particular, RWTH University is focusing on the characterisation of the emission behaviour of new fuel candidates and the development of corresponding methodologies (WP4).
