Elektro Gorenjska (EG) is a Slovenian distribution system operator (DSO) providing electricity to approximately 10% of Slovenian territory. EG operates 2.091 km2 in the North-Eastern part of Slovenia and supplies approximately 90.000 customers. Elektro Gorenjska’s distribution network consists of 13 HV/MV primary substations, 8 MV substations, nearly 1500 MV/LV secondary substations and approximately 5.000 km of different 110 kV to 0.4 kV networks, with a total yearly distribution of approximately 1.000.000 MWh of electricity. In addition to continuously ranking as Slovenia’s top energy supplier with regards to power quality, evident from the highest Slovenian quality system indexes, EG is strongly committed to R/D activities, being involved as a partner in numerous national and international projects.
