CETMA is a Research and Technology organisation whose activities are focused both on generating new knowledge (Research) and on finding concrete applications of new knowledge (Technology) for companies and institutions.

It is a non-profit organisation and all its profits are reinvested in research, training and dissemination activities. It has all the requirements of a research organisation, as stipulated by European regulations.

CETMA has developed expertise in materials engineering, computer engineering and industrial design. Using these competences in an integrated manner, it is a multidisciplinary player for the innovation of products, processes and services, and is able to promote and assist the growth and development of the national production system and to effectively direct technological development activities. Specifically, the activities on which CETMA focuses its efforts are as follows:

• development of innovative skills and competencies in advanced materials technologies and their applications
• development of specialised software for innovative applications in engineering, manufacturing and services
• development of skills and competencies in the design and development of products for product innovation.
