LPE, an Italian specialist in epitaxial reactors for silicon carbide (SiC) and silicon, was acquired by ASM International in 2022 and now operates as a product unit within ASM’s Global Products organization. With manufacturing and R&D facilities in Milan and Catania, LPE brings strong expertise in SiC epitaxy—critical for power electronics and electric vehicle applications—supported by a large installed base and numerous patents.
