Company overview

Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals (Division in Poznan - former Central Laboratory of Batteries and Cells - CLAiO) is a highly specialised research organisation with many years of experience in the field of chemical power sources.

Łukasiewicz - IMN participates in partnerships: EIT Raw Materials and Batt4EU.

At Łukasiewicz - IMN in Poznan we carry out research and application work focused on the manufacture and modernisation of energy storage, and we make studies on the properties of primary and secondary batteries or fuel cells. The research tasks concern new raw materials, electrode materials and semi-products, as well as technologies of production and recycling of primary and secondary batteries.

We can offer extensive expertise in energy storage technologies, especially in the fields of battery testing and certification according to international regulations, including standardisation and safety tests, as well as individual testing programs. We provide electrical, mechanical, environmental tests, thermal stresses, safety tests, disassembly analyses, thermographic camera temperature measures and post-failure expert opinions.
