The department "Energy Management and Operation of Electrical Networks" (e²n) of the University of Kassel represents in research and teaching the technically and economically optimized design, control and operation of the future decentralized energy supply system (Smart Grid) with a high share of renewable energies as an important challenge of the energy transition to ensure a secure, cost-efficient and sustainable energy supply. The main focus is on technically and economically optimized concepts and processes for the analysis, design, control and operational management of electrical grids.
