VGB is mainly an operator association, which focuses on equipment. Existing since 1920. VGB PowerTech Hydro provides a growing platform of 74 operators representing about 64,000 MW of installed hydro power capacity, 3 hydroequipment manufacturers and 2 hydropower consulting companies to share experience and knowledge at a high level of expertise. More than 100 experts are actively participating in VGB hydropower committees.
