I have cross-functional and multi-discipline leadership experience across the full life cycle of the software industry as a software provider, integrator, consultant, business, and IT leader. I help teams be the best they can be by identifying and removing road-blocks, coaching, mentoring, while achieving company and client objectives. I led the Internet of Things, Manufacturing and Utilities verticals at KX globally; roles included: strategy, go-to-market, product management, customer success, sales and sales engineering, thought leadership and evangelism, deal structuring, pricing and negotiations, and partnerships. I have won strategic lighthouse deals and acquired reference customers in key market segments and use cases. I led the business and IT operations of the world’s first and largest smart meter management and processing shared service in the world, supporting the meter-to-billing operations of over 70 utilities. Working with utilities transformed meter-to-bill practices, enabled Ontario consumers to be billed on time-of-use rates and increased their awareness of energy use. This mission critical 24x7 operation handles over 100m transactions per day and supports the billing of over 5m customers on time-of-use rates. I oversaw planning, forecasting, managing costs and revenues, with a budget of $28m per year. I reported to the Board of Directors, customers, regulator, and government. I developed trusted and collaborative relationships with stakeholders including customers, government, industry groups, regulator, executives, staff and vendors on high profile initiatives. I apply innovative technology such as process automation, cloud, analytics to deliver significant cost reductions, performance and service improvements. I led large IT, software and outsourcing procurements ($100m+) and complex negotiations. I led the sale and delivery of software, services and consulting engagements (software, IT, business process improvement, and risk management), while exceeding sales and performance targets (by over 90%).
