Elisabeth coordinates research on electricity grids and flexibility at Ember, an independent energy think-tank. Having pioneered Ember’s grid workstream, she specializes in assessing infrastructure readiness for regional energy transitions and developing practical solutions to systemic network challenges. With nearly a decade of experience in energy policy, Elisabeth focuses on aligning infrastructure with decarbonisation, competitiveness, and energy security. She previously spent five years leading Ember’s European grid research and formerly served as Lead Energy Systems Modeller at Malta’s national energy agency.
