Michael Short
Michael is professor of control engineering and systems informatics and associate dean for research at Teesside University in the UK. He is also a visiting professor at VIT Chennai in India. He holds a BEng degree in electronic and electrical engineering (1999, Sunderland) and a PhD degree in real-time robot control and AI (2003, Sunderland). Michael’s research interests encompass aspects of control engineering and systems informatics applied to smart energy systems and robotics. He has authored over 180 reviewed publications and has been principal/co-investigator on multiple funded projects in these areas. Michael is a full member of the IET and IEEE and is a fellow of the HEA.
