Nicolas Arcauz

Nico Arcauz holds a Telecoms Engineering degree by the Escuela de Ingenieros in Bilbao and an MSc in Data Comms by UCL, University College London. He has also followed different post-graduate Business Administration studies by INSEAD, IESE and IMD. Since 1993, he has served different positions within Iberdrola in the telecommunications and metering activity. Nico has been a key player in the Network Automation and Smart Metering STAR project in Iberdrola Networks Spain, starting in 2007. Until 2019 he held the position of Global Smart Grids Director for Iberdrola Networks Business, driving the digital transformation in Iberdrola Networks in Brazil, Spain, UK, and the US.  Nico is currently responsible for Smart Grids in i-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, the Iberdrola Networks business in Spain.  He serves as PRIME Alliance president since 2017.
