Founded in 1999, Sorgenia is the first non-incumbent private company in the free energy market; the firm is a main operator in the industry, thanks to one of the most modern and efficient power plants in Italy, consisting of 4 owned CCGTs, 3 biomass, 7 wind in addition to other CCGTs and hydros owned at 50% (total installed capacity: over 4,700 MW).
