Bi3BoostFlowBat
With growing concerns about climate change, there is a worldwide shift towards cleaner energy sources. The challenge is to guarantee that these sources can keep up with the growing demand and to make sure that the issue of renewable energy storage is properly addressed. Finding cost-effective and sustainable storage solutions for this enormous amount of energy is therefore top priority. To chart the route towards the future third-generation battery technologies for large-scale energy storage, the EU-funded Bi3BoostFlowBat project will develop cost-efficient batteries featuring low cost, optimal redox potential and high solubility. The project plans to achieve this by introducing several strategies to find the best compounds that will lead to the desired results.
