CATCO2NVERS
The EuropeaThe European Green Deal sets the blueprint for making Europe the first climate neutral continent in the world. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) to at least 55 % below 1990 levels by 2030. The EU-funded CATCO2NVERS project will develop and optimise technologies that convert waste CO2 into useful bio-origin chemicals to produce plastics, methanol, cosmetics, and renewable feedstocks for industrial processes. The project’s overall vision will be to use waste CO2 energy- and resource-efficiently in bio-based industries to produce zero GHGs and reduce the quantity of CO2 released into the atmosphere.
