EU for Energy Security and Sustainable Development Policies” is a Module proposal developed by Business and Technology University, which is the only university hosting the Renewable Energy Sources Laboratory, while also closely aligning with European Union’s values. The aim of the project is to share European experience in renewable energy, energy security and sustainable development among students, teachers, parents, professors and decision makers with a goal to create sustainable future for everyone. The wider goal of the proposal is to respond to several objectives which are in line with “Module” principles; considering the significance and the need in Georgia, Module “EU for Energy Security and Sustainable Development Policies” will provide research and first teaching experience for young researchers and scholars and practitioners in European Union issues, will foster the publication and dissemination of the results of academic research, will also create interest in the EU and constitutes the basis for future poles of European knowledge, particularly in Partner Countries, will foster the introduction of a European Union angle into mainly non EU related studies and will develop tailor-made courses on specific EU issues relevant for graduates in their professional life. The module will result in transferring actual skills based on European experience to diverse target groups in ensuring this goal, while raising an awareness regarding EU4Energy Programme and thereby improve the quality of energy data and statistics, shape regional policy-making discussions, strengthen legislative and regulatory frameworks and improve access to information in the partner countries and raising school and university students who have good understanding of EU’s green energy & energy security policies, its benefits and possibly motivate them advocate for similar endevours.
