EVELIXIA

The EVELIXIA project aims to transform EU buildings into Adaptive Utility Nodes (BAUNs) they will be energy-efficient, connected, smart, and flexible systems. These nodes will optimize energy use, enable two-way communication between buildings and the grid, and adapt based on occupant needs and utility signals.

EVELIXIA’s innovations focus on improving Building-to-Grid (B2G) and Grid-to-Building (G2B) services, enhancing human-to-building interactivity, ensuring system interoperability, and deploying hardware that enables energy flexibility. Solutions will be tested across seven real-life pilots in Europe, involving key actors from sectors like electricity, heating/cooling and mobility.

A major focus is on citizen engagement, empowering individuals as co-creators of these solutions. Expected outcomes include reduced greenhouse gas emissions, increased flexibility, higher renewable energy generation and reduced energy consumption.
