FEDECOM

Electricity can become the leading energy carrier, and it will, according to the EU-funded FEDECOM project. The team believes that power grids are going to be the backbone for the decarbonisation of all energy sectors, and aggregators will be the cornerstone enablers of the potential exploitation. Based on previous EU projects, the FEDECOM project aims to enable integrated local energy systems through sector coupling and cross-energy vector integration, increasing renewables’ penetration. To do so, it will adopt and maximise the potential synergies of direct and indirect electrification. The team’s work will result in a scalable and adaptable cloud based platform.
