About:The Hydrogen in Gas Grids project (HIGGS) aims to show that the safe injection of hydrogen into the EU high pressure transmission grid is a sustainable, long-term solution to decarbonise the energy system. To enable the power of Hydrogen HIGGS is identifying remaining weaknesses regarding H2-Readiness and developing a pathway for a stepwise integration of hydrogen in the EU gas network (www.HIGGSproject.eu ).Project duration: 01/01/2020 - 31/12/2022Looking for: Sharing information about the project and knowledge exchange in following fields:
- technical, legal and regulatory barriers and enablers for up to 100% H2in the high-pressure grid
- Testing and validating different materials (steel), accessories, appliances and innovations for various H2/CH4admixtures
- Techno-economic modelling for H2/CH4admixtures within the high-pressure grid and equipment
