MefHySto
MefHySto - Metrology for Advanced Hydrogen Storage Solutions. The project will develop standards-based solutions to support the development of advanced hydrogen storage technologies. Online gas analysis will be applied to measuring impurities, improved reference equations of state will be developed for more accurate metering, and the effects of impurities on fuel cells investigated. Geological, metal hydride and cryo storage are targeted.
Project duration: 01 September 2020 - 01 August 2023
Looking for: Sharing information about the project and knowledge exchange in following fields:
- long-term economic, social and environmental impacts;
- increasing confidence for regulators, industry and investors in large scale hydrogen storage;
- supporting maximum integration of intermittent renewable energy sources, like solar or wind;
- enabling seasonal energy storage for heating, transport and electricity and cultivating metrology to support smart electrical grids through rapid hydrogen transfer to/from storage.
