ORION

The ORION- Novel Digital Components for International Renewable Energy Value Chains project seeks to strengthen European leadership in science and technology while accelerating the global energy transition. By leveraging a quintuple-helix model, it will deliver a modular toolbox of digital breakthrough components, validated through unique use cases in hydro, solar, and wave energy operations across four continents. These innovations will be integrated into a human-centric Digital Twin, enabling the digitalisation of energy operations, increasing renewable energy share, and reducing fossil fuel dependency. ORION's goal is to make energy more sustainable, affordable, and safer, addressing critical political, business, and societal challenges. The project brings together top research entities from 8 countries, with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and creating solutions that will have a global impact on the energy value chain.
