Plant-e

To achieve its ambitious goal of carbon neutrality and zero emissions, the EU is funding and encouraging innovators and start-ups to develop green solutions and novel strategies. The EU-funded Plant-e project is one of these new start-ups. Its woman-led and boasts a staff that is experienced in the realms of research and business. Moreover, Plant-e aims to develop a novel technology: an energy harvesting system that harvests energy from the plant to power the Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. Most of all, the project will achieve this with no emissions and by capturing around 2 kilograms of CO2 from every KWh it makes.
