About: The Smart Finance for Smart Buildings initiative aims to amplify energy efficiency investments in residential buildings. This will facilitate private investors to use EU grants as a guarantee and de-risk investments in the buildings sector. The EU-funded RoundBaltic project will provide a framework for energy efficiency investments in Poland, Latvia and Denmark, by establishing dialogue and supporting actions around the Smart Finance for Smart Buildings initiative. RoundBaltic will analyse how to improve existing methodology, development of strategies and action plans, proposals for enhancement of national policies and establishment of joint template documents and contracts for a better functioning market. It will also establish supporting actions to produce sustainable energy investments in participating countries, and assess the impact and the experience of the operations.
