SERENDI-PV

SERENDI-PV evaluates the reliability, performance, and profitability aspects of PV power plants in operation. We develop a reference database of PV systems to be used across all tasks of this project. Each system is evaluated in a harmonized way by a set of KPIs that are the most common in the industry: Performance Ratio, Weather-Corrected Performance Ratio, Performance Index, Energy Yield, LCoE, and Return on Investment. The selected PV power plants monitored and/or operated by the partners are evaluated (where possible) using these KPIs and the harmonized historical data. The work helps to identify the specific issues addressed in the WPs focused on technology development. The needs for specific modeling of the industry are assessed. A survey is set up to identify the needs depending on the profile of the respondents: research, manufacturer, designer, etc. SERENDI-PV evaluates how the available tools and models meet the needs identified previously, and how they compare with one another.
