SMARTGYsum

About: Unlike traditional energy grids, collaborative smart grids are more resilient, automated, distributed and bidirectional. They are smart because they leverage the possibilities offered by the Internet of Things, big data and artificial intelligence. Collaborative smart grids are also participatory because they empower consumers and increase collaboration among all stakeholders. The EU-funded SMARTGYsum project will employ 15 early-stage researchers to focus on the implementation of the Smart Energy vision, and to develop their future careers in power electronics, electric engineering, material sciences, ICT and data sciences. The researchers will assist in the creation of a business model for collaborative smart grids.

Duration: 1 October 2021 - 30 September 2025
