Sol2H2O

Water has already become a scarcity in many parts of the world due to human over-consumption and climate change, leading to a need for water and water procurement technologies. One promising solution is desalination, which sources water from vast supplies, but unfortunately, it uses large amounts of energy and leaves behind environmentally dangerous brine. The EU-funded Sol2H20 project aims to assist in overcoming this issue. It plans to bring together an experienced team of European researchers and partners that specialise in solar and water-energy technologies to develop strategies for new closed-loop water desalination processes.
