Surefit

The renovation of domestic buildings is of paramount importance as it contributes to reducing their energy consumption. The EU-funded Surefit project aims to renovate domestic buildings using innovative and cost-effective prefabricated technologies that don’t damage the environment. The methodology of the project will be based on bio-aerogel panels integrated with phase change materials, photovoltaic vacuum glazing windows, roof and window heat recovery devices, solar-assisted and ground source heat pumps, evaporative coolers, integrated solar thermal systems and lighting devices. Within this scope, pilots will be developed in buildings located in five different European environments.
