ZEFES

Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) are "clean" automotive technologies that will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. However, they need to become more affordable, reliable and energy efficient with a longer range per charge and reduced charging times. The EU-funded ZEFES project will take zero-emission long-haul goods transport in Europe to the next level. It will conduct real-world demonstrations of long-haul BEVs and FCEVs across Europe. ZEFES will also map charging/fuelling points and come up with new charging ideas. Novel tools for fleet management will be provided to support the rising number of long-haul BEVs and FCEVs.
