Enlit visited Copenhagen, Fredericia and Esbjerg – Denmark’s energy metropolis – to explore how the energy transition is progressing in one of Europe’s leaders in the green transition.

At Copenhagen Atomics we heard about how mass manufacturing thorium reactors can change the face of nuclear energy worldwide. Next, the focus was on design and innovation at KIRT x THOMSEN, an award-winning studio in the green energy and mobility industries.

At Energinet in Fredericia, Chief Project Manager Poul-Jacob Vilhelmsen gave us insights into their North Sea Energy Island project.

We also visited the Port of EsbjergEurope’s leading offshore wind port – and the HØST PtX Esbjerg, a leading Power-to-X project under development; while Birger Lauersen from the Danish District Heating Association shared his insights on a key part of the energy transition.
