Nordex Group wins 56MW turbine order for Croatian wind project
Wind developer and operator ENCRO and investment firm Adris Grupa have ordered wind turbines from the Nordex Group for the Visoka wind farm in Croatia.

Wind developer and operator ENCRO and investment firm Adris Grupa have ordered wind turbines from the Nordex Group for the Visoka wind farm in Croatia.
The order is for eight N163/6.X turbines totaling 56MW, as well as a service contract for a period of 30 years.
Nordex Group will deliver and instal the turbines in autumn 2024.
The turbines from the Delta4000 series will be installed on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 113 metres.
The Visoka project, located near the town of Sinj, marks Nordex's first order for N163/6.X turbines from Croatia.
The turbine manufacturer launched this turbine with a flexible rating in the 6MW class two years ago and since then has sold turbines with a total of more than 3,000MW worldwide.

For Adris Grupa, the Visoka wind farm is the company's first energy sector project.
“We are very pleased to get this order and are looking forward to working together with ENCRO and Adris Grupa in the future. This is a further important step for Nordex in Croatia, and we are proud of our contribution to the energy turnaround in the region,” says Patxi Landa, CSO of the Nordex Group.
ENCRO has been developing green energy projects in Croatia and currently has a portfolio of 141MW in operation, 164MW in construction and a pipeline of 1,000MW.
Branimir Ivković, head of business development, wind at ENCRO commented on the announcement: “ENCRO group is pleased to be contributing to the further growth of renewable energy generation capacity in Croatia. The Visoka project is a result of our constant effort and a proof that we are directly unlocking Croatia’s renewable energy potential on the way to fulfil the requirements of the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Facility.”
Ivković added: “Thanks to the close collaboration with our partner Adris Grupa we look forward to building upon our first joint PV and Wind investments in Croatia with a combined connected capacity of 122.3MW and an installed capacity of 141.8MW. This joint investment will contribute to not only the Croatian but EU energy green transition and economic growth making progress toward its 2023 environmental targets and commitment.”
Since 2019 the Nordex Group has noted a continuous increase in demand from Croatia. As of today, the Nordex Group has sold and installed a total of 154 turbines totaling 635MW.
According to the International Trade Administration, 28,02% of Croatia's gross final energy consumption is covered by renewable energy. Hydropower is the dominant source, however, significant funds have been invested in wind and solar power.
Currently, Korlat is home to the largest wind farm in Croatia. The farm, built and operated by Hrvatska Elektroprivreda, consists of 18 wind turbines with an installed capacity of 3.6MW each. The power plant produces around 170GWh annually, providing about 1% of Croatia’s annual electricity consumption.
