Highlighting safety standards for hydrogen in power generation
He emphasised that "natural gas has got a key role to play in this environment," not only as a replacement fuel for coal but also as an abated fuel in the longer term.
Turbines, therefore, have a key role to play as well due to their ability to produce reliable, carbon-neutral solutions.
And hydrogen is proving to be an important disrupter, "it's a promising fuel and the fact that you can use hydrogen blends and carbon-negative fuels in turbines has been of great importance," added Björkqvist.
"Hydrogen has transformed turbines from being a transition technology to being a destination technology."
