outPHit

The outPHit project is making deep retrofits faster, cheaper and more reliable by pairing streamlined renovation approaches like Energiesprong with Passive House principles for ambitious energy performance on the basis of the EnerPHit standard.

Elaborated on the basis of sound building physics, the EnerPHit standard calls for the consistent use of high quality, energy efficient building components. The result is outstanding energy performance as well as unparalleled comfort, superior air quali-ty and stark reductions in energy usage – with EnerPHit, slashing heating demand by 90% is not uncommon.

outPHit works not only raise awareness of these benefits but also leads by example on the basis of case studies across Europe. In collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders, outPHit is addressing the challenges hindering the execution of high quality deep renovation while facilitating the development of high performance renovation systems and pushing for the integration of prefabrication where possible to lower the barriers to renovation. outPHit is also resulting in renovation tools for decision making and quality assurance safeguards for all phases of a renovation project’s life cycle – from the design stage through to post-renovation monitoring.
