Anesco names McCarville as new chief executive
Former boss of Veolia in the Netherlands brings 15 years energy sector experience to fast-growing UK renewables developer.

UK solar and storage developer Anesco has appointed Hildagarde McCarville as its chief executive.
She takes over from Mark Futyan, who will remain with the company as a non-executive director.
McCarville joins Anesco from Veolia Environment, a global resource management firm, having been Veolia’s chief executive in the Netherlands for eight years.
Prior to this, she was managing director of EDF subsidiary Dalkia and a supervisory board member of Dutch district heating company Ennatuurlijk.
McCarville said: “Recent global events only reinforce the urgent need to decarbonise further and to accelerate the transition towards decentralized renewable energy and storage solutions.
“Anesco is well placed to provide the end-to-end services needed to achieve this target. I look forward to working closely with the management team to capitalize on growth opportunities in both new and existing markets.”
Anesco has built more than 100 solar farms and 30 energy storage facilities, while its O&M service monitors over 24,000 sites.
It was the first company in the UK to achieve subsidy-free solar and also the first to introduce utility-scale energy storage.
