BayWa r.e. promotes McGregor to deliver UK renewable projects

Renewable energy developer BayWa r.e. has promoted Christine McGregor to managing director of its UK and Ireland projects business.
She joined BayWa r.e. as legal counsel and project manager before becoming head of commercial, where she led both legal and valuation teams for the UK and Ireland projects business.
McGregor replaces Gordon MacDougall who is to become head of projects in the Americas.
BayWa r.e. has an installed capacity in the UK of 500MW across 31 wind and solar projects, and has a pipeline of 2.5GW.

The company’s regional director of EMEA wind projects, Steve Packwood, said McGregor’s “proven track record in the industry and her strong commercial background will be vital for our growth ambitions in the UK”.
“We are looking forward to Christine’s support in delivering our 2.5 GW pipeline and further establishing our position as a significant player in the energy transition in the UK and Ireland.”
McGregor said she was “excited to embark on a new chapter at BayWa r.e. at such a decisive time within the renewables industry” and to “achieve essential net zero milestones in the UK and Ireland”.
