Bosses from Uniper, RWE, Drax and PGE highlight their decarbonisation strategies
What is the future of the conventional power plant and how are industry players planning to decarbonise their existing fleets while maintaining the required flexibility?
These are just some of the questions to be answered in what promises to be a compelling discussion between industry leaders at Enlit Europe in Paris on 29 November 2023.
Sharing their insights will be:
Roger Miesen, Chief Executive Officer - RWE Generation. Miesen will discuss the decarbonisation of RWE's remaining flexible fleet, as well as strategies to deploy biomass, carbon capture and storage, and hydrogen.
Holger Kreetz, Chief Operating Officer - Uniper. Kreetz will be discussing the role of gas in decarbonisation strategies and Uniper's journey to future-proofing its fleet.
Ann Burton, Head of International BECCS Development - Drax. Burton will highlight Drax's plans to decarbonise through the use of biomass and carbon capture and storage.
Wanda Buk, Vice-President for Regulatory Affairs - PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna. Buk will provide an update on the Polish energy sector, how Poland's coal prowess has insulated it from the gas crisis, and provide a current and future look at Europe's ETS.
