Without attracting enough people with the right skills to the sector, the energy transition will lose speed and net zero goals will be at risk. Making it work provides actionable recommendations to help the industry bridge the headcount and skills gap. This is especially important since clean energy is a key solution to solving Europe’s industrial competitiveness issue.

Right now, we are trying to fix the problem at the end of the line, not at the start of the line. The main problem is that we are not teaching people the skills that we will need in 10 or 15 years. There’s a huge gap. That’s why we are working very closely with all kinds of partners: public administration, private companies, training centres, universities.
