A ‘one-fits-all’ approach to energy management and EV charging from Huawei
Huawei has launched the ‘one-fits-all’ energy solution for C&I applications and FusionCharge to build EV charging infrastructures.

The one-fits-all integrated smart energy solution is aimed to unlock value for all commercial and industrial scenarios.
Covering small, medium and large-scale applications with the Lite, Pro and Max options, the end-to-end solution is built on delivering four key values: proactive safety, premium quality, higher profitability and one-fits-all.
To achieve this it integrates reliable and innovative technologies including solar PV, energy storage and charging connectors in an approach that can ensure safety, reduce the deployment costs and create long-term stable benefits for partners and customers.
Hybrid cooling energy storage
At the heart of the one-fits-all offering is the latest LUNA2000-215 series C&I smart hybrid cooling energy storage system.
For proactive safety, Huawei has introduced the concept of a ‘cell-to-consumption’ power sharing dual link safety architecture to optimise the power consumption and ensure end-to-end safety from product to consumption.
The C2C electrical safety implementations cover cell level cooling management and high precision automotive grade battery management.
With the highest ‘Prime Safety’ certification from TÜV, the system built with automotive grade components sets a new benchmark for C&I energy storage safety and quality.
To support higher profitability the power supply architecture features refined management and smart algorithms to ensure an optimal operating temperature and reduced energy consumption of auxiliary devices.
In addition, for PV plus energy storage O&M, the automatic pack-level SOC calibration eliminates the need for manual site visits and reduces the losses caused by manual operations and downtime.
Huawei’s smart energy management system improves revenue by more than 10% through intelligent multi-mode and AI scheduling. When the electricity price is negative, it supports zero feed-in control to reduce losses.
The platform also can connect to mainstream power markets in Europe to obtain dynamic electricity prices, supporting remote control by third-party VPPs and EMSs.
The high density integrated design of the system cabinet enables flexible layout side-by-side and back-to-back. In addition, prefabricated installation simplifies the installation process and significantly reduce its time and cost.
FusionCharge solution
Drawing on the need for collaboration between the energy and mobility sectors, the Huawei FusionCharge solution has been developed for building fast and ultra-fast charging infrastructures.
Aimed to support the accelerating popularisation of EVs with high quality charging and an improved charging experience, the solution is built around the FusionCharge Liquid-Cooled power unit and charging connectors in a design that extends the service life to over 10 years with a fault rate of less than 0.5% and reduced O&M costs.
The solution can integrate with a PV system and energy storage to provide a seamless, safe and more efficient and sustainable charging ecosystem that is futureproof and with multiple benefits.
The maximum power of the liquid cooled power unit is 720kW and the maximum charging current of a single ultra-fast connector is 500A. The power unit utilises a power sharing matrix to optimise the power grid capacity and improve the power utilisation rate, achieving an efficiency of almost 96% at 600kW. A DC bus supports the smooth coupling with an energy storage system.
The solution also is grid friendly providing intelligent peak shaving and virtual power plant evolution and eliminating the need for reinforcement or expansion of the power grid.
Customers can flexibly configure fast or ultra-fast charging dispensers of different partners as required and with a modular design approach, expansion is ensured to meet long term demands.
Overall, the FusionCharge solution helps maximise power grid utilisation, solve the bottleneck of insufficient grid power, relieve the pressure on power grid integration and improve green power consumption to promote low carbon mobility.
Deployment in Spain
The first Huawei FusionSolar station with 215kWh cabinet has been deployed in Madrid Spain. The site consists of the LUNA2000-215KWh and the new SUN2000-150K PV inverter delivering 98.8% efficiency.
The first Huawei FusionCharge charging station also was showcased in Madrid. The site features a FusionCharge liquid-cooled power unit and charging dispensers as well as energy storage. With a weak power grid of only 70kVA, the station can deliver over 400kW through the energy storage system.
By combining PV, energy storage and charging technologies, FusionCharge enables intelligent peak shaving, alleviates grid pressure and increases green power consumption – driving the growth of sustainable mobility.
