Doosan Škoda Power wins steam turbine contract in Kazakhstan
Doosan Škoda Power has won an order to deliver two 175MW steam turbines for a combined cycle power plant project in Kazakhstan.

Czech Republic-based turbine producer Doosan Škoda Power has won an order with Doosan Enerbility to deliver two 175MW steam turbines for a combined cycle power plant project in Kazakhstan.
Doosan Enerbility signed the contract with Turkistan LLP, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s sovereign wealth fund Samruk-Kazyna, for constructing the Turkistan plant.
The contract will include the steam turbines as well as a generator and accessories.
The 1,000MW power plant will be built in Shymkent, an industrial region located in southern Kazakhstan which is to be completed by August 2026.

“This contract is an exciting opportunity to expand our business in the Kazakh market. We are pleased to cooperate with Turkistan LLP alongside Doosan Enerbility and we look forward to continue working together in future projects,” said Daniel Procházka, chief operations officer and sales director of Doosan Škoda Power.
Doosan Škoda Power supplied its STGs to the Karabatan combined cycle power plant in 2020 and is set to expand its presence in the Kazakh market along with the Central Asian market.
