Driving global water innovation: LAISON’s active presence at ZAWAFE, IWWEF, and CAETE 2025

In June 2025, LAISON demonstrated a strong international presence by participating in three major international events: the Zambia Water Forum and Exhibition (ZAWAFE), the Indonesia Water and Wastewater Expo & Forum (IWWEF), and the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) in Changsha.

These exhibitions, spanning Africa and Asia, offered strategic platforms for LAISON to promote its cutting-edge smart water metering technologies and engage with utilities, government officials, and industry professionals.

At each event, LAISON presented its comprehensive Smart Water Metering solution, featuring a full range of smart water meters—both domestic and bulk—with support for various communication technologies such as LoRa, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, GPRS, CAT.1 and Bluetooth.

One of the key highlight was Aqualink, LAISON’s innovative retrofit solution for mechanical meters that enables upgrading existing meters to smart meters without full replacement, reduces labour costs related to manual meter reading, and significantly improves data collection accuracy and operational efficiency.

At ZAWAFE, LAISON’s booth attracted high-level attention, including a visit from Zambia’s Minister of Water Development and Sanitation, highlighting the company’s growing recognition in African markets.

At IWWEF, LAISON captivated audiences with a live demonstration featuring a transparent water tank with pipes and meters, allowing visitors to witness real-time operation and gain hands-on understanding of its smart metering capabilities.

At CAETE, though the focus was broader economic cooperation, LAISON’s participation helped reinforce its presence in the African market and enhance brand awareness among a wider international audience.
