Enlit Europe puts energy projects in the spotlight in Bilbao
Enlit Europe 2025 kicks off on 18 November presenting the exclusive guide to the energy transition.

As the energy transition deepens, Enlit Europe, gathering in Bilbao in Spain’s Basque Country – for the first time – with the support of Bilbao-headquartered Iberdrola, is set to provide the forum for discussing all things topical to advancing Europe’s energy ambitions.
As the opening summit dives into the forces shaping and testing Europe’s energy future, the EU Project Zone, this year with three parallel sessions, kicks off in parallel to showcase the work and progress of a selection of European Commission Horizon-funded projects.
Kicking off the respective tracks are BRIDGE, energy storage and the E-NERGY Cluster. Other focuses of the day in the multi-project sessions include nuclear, digital technologies and the integration of space data into energy operations.
On day 2 (November 19), among the 12 project sessions, AI and data feature prominently, as do empowering citizens with DECODIT and energy communities.
On day 3 (November 20), with a half-day programme, DC technologies, smart buildings and smart cities are represented.
Overall, more than 100 projects are participating as both exhibitors and speakers at the event, making it amongst the largest gatherings and showcases of the significant work they are doing.
There is also participation from the European Commission, including Stavros Stamatoukos, policy officer – digitalisation and AI in energy in DG Energy, who will be involved in a live podcast among other activities.
Among other participants, in addition to BRIDGE, which plays a key overarching role in policy proposals from the projects, is ETIP SNET, which plays a key role in advancing the energy sector research, development and innovation agenda.
