Israel signs milestone wave power PPA
Eco Wave Power has announced that it has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement with the Israeli National Electric Company (IEC).

Eco Wave Power has announced that it has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement with the Israeli National Electric Company (IEC).
The agreement is based on the official Feed-in Tariff which was set for Eco Wave Power’s newly-installed wave energy project at the Port of Jaffa in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Now that the PPA has been signed and approval granted grid synchronisation, the Israeli Electric Company (IEC) will perform its own synchronisation test. Once complete, the wave project, EWP-EDF One, will be connected to the grid.

According to Eco Wave Power, it's the first time in the country’s history that electricity produced by wave power will be transmitted to Israel’s national electric grid.
The EWP-EDF One Project is a collaboration between EDF Renewables IL and the Israeli Energy Ministry.
Real conditions tests began in July 2022 when floaters were lowered into the water for the first time to test operation of the mechanical and hydraulic subsystems.
Eco Wave Power will soon commence installation of its wave energy technology on its first US location at AltaSea at the Port of Los Angeles. The Company also holds concession agreements for commercial installations in Spain, Portugal and Turkey.
“The official start of grid connection for our EWP-EDF One Project is a moment that we have been waiting for, as it represents an important milestone for our company and our country,” said Inna Braverman, Eco Wave Power’s founder and CEO.
