LAISON showcases smart water solutions for a sustainable future at IWA 2025
Aligning with the congress’s focus on water, sanitation and innovation, LAISON showcased a range of smart water metering solutions for multiple applications.

December 8-12, 2025, Laison participated in the IWA Water and Development Congress & Exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand. The theme of the congress was 'Water, sanitation, and innovation – pathways to progress and a resilient future'. The event brought together global leaders and innovators in the water sector, showcasing advanced water treatment and management technologies.
Aligning with the congress’s focus, LAISON showcased a range of smart water metering solutions for multiple applications. Its multi-jet and ultrasonic smart water meters excelled in domestic settings, while the large-diameter ultrasonic and electromagnetic flow meters were tailored to meet the diverse needs of commercial and industrial applications. These solutions support multiple communication options, such as LoRa, LoRaWAN, GPRS, NB-IoT, CAT1.
LAISON also highlighted that its products are certified by international standards such as MID, OIML, CE, WRAS, ensuring compliance with global quality standards and offering high reliability and precise measurement to meet the needs of international customers.
During the exhibition, LAISON's water leakage monitoring solution gained significant attention from the attendees. LAISON showcased its advanced technologies for leakage detection and control, including GIS pipeline management and DMA management, etc., aimed at effectively reducing Non-Revenue Water (NRW), increasing water utility revenue, and optimising overall management efficiency.
At the Business Forum of the conference, LAISON addressed the global water challenge and introduced its smart metering and system solutions, which leverage innovative technologies to optimise water resource management. These solutions drew strong interest among the attendees, who actively participated in subsequent discussions and exchanges.
This exhibition not only showcased LAISON's technological innovations in smart water metering but also highlighted the company’s commitment to providing intelligent solutions for global water resource management. Moving forward, LAISON will continue to drive the digital transformation and sustainable development of the global water industry, helping regions address water scarcity and management challenges.

Transforming water management: Shifting from reactive response to proactive leakage management
Non-Revenue Water (NRW) remains one of the most pressing challenges for the global water industry today. The global volume of NRW is estimated at 346 million cubic meters per day, or 126 billion cubic meters annually (Data Source: Liemberger & Wyatt, 'Quantifying the Global Non-Revenue Water Problem'). This shocking figure not only reflects the massive waste of water resources but also severely impacts the financial health of water utilities and restricts long-term sustainable growth.
