Teal Mobility to develop a hydrogen station network for heavy-duty vehicles in Europe
TotalEnergies and Air Liquide are partnering to develop a network of over 100 stations geared towards heavy duty vehicles on major European road corridors.

Teal Mobility, a partnership between TotalEnergies and Air Liquide, is to develop a network of over 100 stations geared towards heavy-duty vehicles on major European road corridors.
The new 50/50 jv formed by the two companies is planned to invest, build and operate these stations over the next decade, as well as to procure hydrogen from the market and dispense it to transport customers.
The stations will be located on the major European roads in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany and will be under the TotalEnergies brand.
As such, it should substantially help to facilitate access and lead to the creation of a major player in hydrogen refuelling solutions.

Transporting hydrogen: when to pipe, ship, liquify or blend?
“We believe the best way to predict the hydrogen future is to create it,” says Florentin de Loppinot, CEO of Teal Mobility and formerly project lead at TotalEnergies and head of strategy and new business at its emobility entity EV Charge.
“Teal Mobility is committed to fast-tracking hydrogen mobility.”
Hydrogen is considered key for supporting the decarbonisation of mobility, particularly public and heavy vehicles.
A typical refill for a heavy-duty vehicle should take about 15 minutes and provide a range of around 800 km with consumption of hydrogen of 8-10kg/100km, while preserving the vehicle loading capacity.
The jv is founded on the complementary expertise of the two companies, Air Liquide's on technologies and mastery of the entire hydrogen value chain and that of TotalEnergies on the operation and management of station networks and the distribution of energy to B2B customers.
Teal Mobility, headquartered in Paris, expects to have 20 stations in operation in the various countries by the end of 2024.
