The Connect Interviews: Turn on, tune in, but don’t COP out
COP26 – What Next? That’s the topic of the Connect Interviews, a weekly dialogue with energy executives and thought-leaders.
2021 was the year of net-zero rhetoric, as we counted down towards COP26. Everyone had an opinion about what we should do and how and when we should do it.
Which leaves 2022 as the year of action: in the words of that ‘big tick’ sports brand, we need to ‘just do it'.
Trouble is: it’s not as easy as that. Only last month the World Economic Forum warned of the likelihood of a “disorderly energy transition” set against a background of climate action failure because too many parties were unsure of their next steps.
So how do we put into action the grand words spoken in Glasgow? And how do we go beyond delivering on those COP agreements – agreements that many anyway feel fell short of what they could, and should, have been?
That’s the topic of the first series of the Connect Interviews, a weekly dialogue with energy executives and thought-leaders that tackles the question: COP26 – What Next?
The series promises insight and talking points, and we’d be delighted if you joined the conversation across our social media channels.
