The analogy between energy and human knowledge

Enlit Europe content director Nigel Blackaby speaks to Hemmat Safwat, industry veteran and consultant at power & desalination plants and renewable energy, about his new book, Business economics, knowledge and energy, which explores changes within the energy segment.

Safwat has 50 years of experience in the power sector and leveraged his experience to explore drivers of energy sector changes in his book.

He said: “The reality is that there is a lot of analogy between energy and knowledge. The energy source starts from natural fuels (solar, wind) and knowledge from the brains of humans but there are similarities between them.”
