Enlit and Eurelectric have announced the final start-ups and scale-ups that complete the line-up of innovators participating in this year’s Four Ds Innovation Festival at Enlit Europe.

Enlit and Eurelectric have announced the final start-ups and scale-ups that complete the line-up of innovators participating in this year’s Four Ds Innovation Festival at Enlit Europe.

Since its inception in 2021, this innovation pitching event has grown and evolved significantly. However, its core objective remains, which is to provide a platform where novel and game-changing solutions that can help drive forward and accelerate the energy transition can be showcased to the energy industry.

This year sees the Four Ds Innovation Festival at Enlit Europe comprising four separate 60-minute pitching sessions, each featuring start-ups and scale-ups with solutions and technologies aimed at either the decarbonisation, digitalisation, decentralisation or democratisation of energy.

Following a rigorous selection process, Enlit and Eurelectric are delighted to announce the final start-ups that will be participating in this year’s event in Paris.

Digitalisation innovators

Participating in the Digitalisation session, France’s Tangara Energy offers a data analytics and demand prediction software platform, aimed at helping electric truck charge point operators, grid network operators and municipalities identify the best sites to locate charging stations, right-size the charging infrastructure and anticipate grid connection requests based on predictive demand analytics.

Also joining is PEEK GmbH of Germany, which is seeking to revolutionise occupational safety through its PEEK sensor. This self-learning, wearable IoT device can detect the approach of electrical hazards in both medium and high voltage environments using a unique sensor fusion. The wearer or object (e.g., a cherry picker) is immediately warned about the danger acoustically and visually when the approach limits are exceeded.

Completing this session’s line-up is Visplore GmbH of Austria with its plug-and-play time series analytics software that promises to make in-depth analysis of large time series data simple and fast - even without data science knowledge. Whether for failure analysis or optimisation of generation and forecasting, the software easily integrates multiple isolated data sources and delivers comprehensive answers in minutes.

Decarbonisation innovators

Completing the Decarbonisation session is Sweden’s Spritju which describes itself as the marketplace for Energy Attribute Certificates or EACs for corporates, enabling them to meet their environmental sustainability targets. In addition, Spritju offers Energy Traceability as a Service by matching each kWh of electricity consumption by its consecutive generation at each hour; as well as products that offer traceability of each kWh of consumed electricity and data on the carbon content of each kWh of consumed electricity.

Democratisation innovators

Finnish Enreport is joining the Democratisation session and will present its highly customisable energy management solution that is based on AI-driven digital twins. With an emphasis on improving energy efficiency in the heavy industry sector, the software not only predicts future energy consumption based on production plans, compares equipment based on digital twins and recommends how to operate the equipment, it can also simulate new types of equipment based on energy prices, consumption data, and location, and propose to install equipment with the best ROI.

Also participating is Fermata Energy, Based in the UK, it aims to bring EVs and the grid together to combat climate change, increase resilience, reduce costs. Founded to accelerate both the adoption of EVs and the transition to renewable energy, its Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology turns EVs into distributed storage resources, enabling EV owners to earn money while improving grid stability and resilience.

Decentralisation innovators

Participating in the Decentralisation session is Gridfit of France, which is developing an AI-powered DER management platform for commercial and residential buildings, Through algorithms it brings flexibility to consumption via a better integration of renewables locally (i.e., with self-consumption) and at grid scale (i.e., enrolling customers into demand response programmes through existing IoT devices, such as Building Management Systems, smart thermostats, etc.).

Completing the line-up is Seita Energy Flexibility of the Netherlands, which will present its FlexMeasures EMS. Described as a ‘a smart energy orchestration tool, this versatile EMS can be used as a digital twin when planning projects and their business case), and for real-time scheduling to maximise daily cost and CO2 savings. It can continuously calculate the best times to switch batteries, heat pumps or industrial processes on or off.
