Networked Energy Services publishes COVID-19 smart energy transition report

Networked Energy Services Corporation has completed its industry survey related to the impact of COVID-19 on smart metering and smart grid projects and the associated analysis and report, “Smart Metering and the Smart Energy Transition in the New Normal.”  COVID-19 has changed the world in many ways. The health, social and working practice impacts dominate our view of the New Normal, but what does it mean to the smart energy transition, which has been disrupted. To find out, Networked Energy Services (NES) conducted a survey to better understand the impact from the COVID-19 situation on Distribution System Operators (DSOs) and specifically its effect on the Smart Energy Transition. Based on the results, the impacts of COVID-19 have been both positive and negative on the Smart Energy Transition, with the balance being towards the positive.
